"This is honestly not a bad school in my opinion. But honestly speaking, if you want your child to an ACTUAL childhood and grow up happy and free, i would recommend sending your child to other schools. However, that doesnt mean i did not have a good time in this school. Mostly because of my form teacher who was really caring and often held games after tests and exams to lighten our mood. there were also some horrible teachers who liked to throw students things in the bin and humiliate them during class. Overall this school is just so-so not that great but not that bad. One thing i must say though is that the friends are pretty much the only thing that makes school life fun. I still have close contacts with all my nanyang friends so that is one good thing. All i can say is that nanyangs way of teaching is just practice after practice of mok papers. I personally dont encourage this as society dosnt need people who can study , but need thos who can come upwith solutions to solve thier problems. -Nanyang alumni -2024"

"Teachers are extremely biased towards girls, I feel so much more free after leaving this school. Heavily discourage sending your child here, especially if it's a boy, this school will definitely ruin his confidence."

"Alright as a graduate. This school is really two sides of the same coin. It depends how lucky you are. Lets start with facillities. First, for the P5 GEP batches, the water cooler is not even cool, in fact it once dispensed HOT water! while the others were ice cool. Now, the toilets in CRC and KRC are different leagues apart, the krc toilets are stinky, broken and even have cockroaches. The chinese culture promotes respect, but some(not all) of the students are mean, rude and look down upon others. The culture of "respect" also makes the students hate the school more as some of us feel restricted. About the GEP: as a member of the 2024 batch who graduated, i found that first, and this is only an observation, that only 3 people in a class of 30 (ge meta) lived in an hdb. is that normal? not at all. Most of the students went in (including me) because of these GEP "training centres" which were really just camps for children to do practice papers everyday which really affects their mental health and physical as many of my ge classmates are depressed. The biased well, it is kind of obvious when you been here a decent bit, especially compared to my old school(bukit timah) as many other reviews tell you, the teachers do like to treat the girls better and it crushes many peoples self confidence. About one specific review where it says" they put all the bad students together in with a few prefects and cross the fingers" i believe is quite true. Among the many classes, some obviusly have way more troublemakers which is ok, just learn to be serious at the right time. HOWEVER, all the "good students" are placed into the META class and slapped with the ge people in normal non academic subjects. Still, i have met some amazing people here who are still my friends in secondary school i would say just dont waste the effort unless u live nearby"

"W school had a great time there mdm Wong very nice councillor and life coach also very good people blame me for a lot of things a lot of people know me one haha I still don’t regret throwing a ball at teachers. I don’t regret climbing over the school walls to get the football back Tbh sending your child here will get them trust issues but if they mix with the right people they will be quite alright just make sure they not too well behaved or they will define get bullied that’s why I misbehaved so badly I got bullied if I behaved in p1-p2 In my opinion it’s 50% absolute garbage 50% great the funding is mostly…. There are a lot of gangster wanna be students trying to act cool or whatever also a lot of dirty minded people ur child will most definitely learn curse words so might as well try and stop them from a young age Anyways just be careful also. A lot of messed up people and toxic depressed people…. But either way not too bad of a school but still absolute crap But tbh the teaching kinda ass tbh can’t focus during class then always get in trouble I had 400+ major offences summore School very stressful so much homework no school perfect one this one far from perfect but, me personally nanyang still better than acs and raffles I may hate the school for the inside but I love it for the people(students50%of them ) I’m proud to be nanyang kinda -former 6C student of 2024"

"Very bad teachers, very egoistic students. So what if the students are so smart? Their EQ is on a whole other level of bad. Furthermore, I have never seen a more stressfull environment to study than this school, like seriously every single friend I have asked all told me that they were traumatised by the teachers and the toxicity in this school. Even though I studied here and have the choice of sending my kid here in the future, I don't think I will to be honest."
