School Reviews

Read Google and parent-contributed reviews for Chongfu School, or share your own experience below.

"This was my past primary school. I know that Chongfu is supposed to uphold a very good reputation. However,I feel very disappointed in my juniors. At northpoints cities playground,I saw around 5 primary 6 kids playing at the merry go round as one was spinning the merry go round, the other ones were laying down on the merry go round and dragging their feets while screaming loudly. On top of that, they left their macdoanls meal behind on the floor.I hope that you can take further action as Chongfu is a good school and i hope that they should mantain their good reputation."

"It is a school where inconsiderate parents send the kids to. Another disappointing and great failure on the school's management who choose not to address the chaos caused by these parents. They hog the roads, the neighbourhood carpark and cause inconvenience to road users Especially the residents who are using the two gantries along Yishun Street 22. The school is right next to the neighbourhood carpark providing up to a thousand lots serving Blk 265 to 285 residents. DESPITE having THREE Gantries, the situation is more or less the same at all THREE gantries... Every morning from 0645 to 0730, these parents hog the zebra crossing and carpark gantries. The foreigners-parents who 'volunteered' hog the zebra crossing, they made drivers stop for every parents/helpers/students(PHS) even though they are still 5 metres away. I bet they have never seen other schools managing zebra crossing users. The school volunteers that my kids go to, gather a group of 10 or more PHS before they stop the cars. Chongfu volunteers made you stop THREE Times as they allow every PHS to cross. They never gather a group before stopping a car. PHS have priority at any moment they are near the zebra. They DON'T WAIT, the cars must die-die stop for them. Cars queue takes up to 10mins (peak timing 0710 to 0730) to leave the carpark. We resident also need to send kids to other schools, because of them we have to leave before 0645 or join the 10min queue. We tried to called the school operation/Admin VP, but they never return calls. The school is not going away, unlikely to close... So residents are expected to take it or leave it. We are at the losing end. We have to suck it up and bear with the situation...OR sell your house. These parents tried to stop at different blocks/corners as they themselves do not want to join the queue... So they stop everywhere and then they tried to leave from all directions... Anyone coming into the carpark, who tried to turn into another direction, they don't leave you any gap to turn... You need to Bulldoze your way. WHY we resident have to be graceful to such visitors if they are not even considerate to us??? We pay season carpark fees, while they all try to leave within 10mins so that they don't have to PAY😂 EASY for others to say be graceful, bear with it, because it's our suffering not yours! SO IT'S OUR PROBLEM AS WE CHOSE TO STAY IN THIS CLUSTER!!! Town Council don't bother as HDB owns the gantries. HDB cannot be bothered as they like to collect extra monies. LTA wouldn't be bothered unless someone dies amist the chaos along the main road. The MP don't bother as they only want your vote not your problems. The school don't bother as they don't own the carpark. For those car owners considering to enrol your child, a GREAT welcome to join the drop-off chaos! Another WONDERFUL welcome for enrolling your child into a school who has NO integrity to take ownership of the drop-off debacle, doesn't instill responsibility to resolve issues and disregard safety of the neighbourhood. Well they are paid to teach, and I hope they teach the kids well. However looking at the inconsiderate parents who are likely ex Alumni, I have doubts and concerns... Attached is a video of my return journey to the carpark at 0720hr after sending my children to their two schools. After turning right from Yishun Ave 7 all the way to the carpark gantry, you can clearing see the volume of cars getting in, the number of cars in queue waiting to leave and how they block the way of other users. Coming from all directions!!! These are the inconsiderate parents who block your way and refuse to let you make the turn... Thank you for your patience in reading this!"

"my daughter went to this school, she was looking forward to everyday to go to school. Her teachers were very kind and caring. If she had any problems or struggles she would approach the form teacher and be open about it. Overall Chong Fu primary school is a good school."

"The whole 6 years for me was nothing but pain and depression p1 teachers were very selfish refuse to help me and gave me a offence slip when I told teacher that a bully hit me p5 was full of toxicity and a student Ethan Lok stole 10 dollars from my bag and tossed my bag across the class I told Mr soon about it and refused to help me (lazy) there was literally nothing I could do."

"I attended CFS from 1994 to 1999 and it is still the happiest time I ever had in life. Back then afternoons weren't as hot as now and CFS had a huge football field without the new blocks to play soccer on during recess. Oh yeah a bowl of curry chicken at the canteen was only 40 cents... I'm late by 25 years, but still a big thank you Mr Chong, Mr Tay, Ms Chew and rest of the others I have forgotten for all the precious lessons and memories. I heard the current CFS is not longer as prestigious as was in my era, but the only constant is change..."

"This school has really been a blessing to me the 6 years I have been here. I recently graduated from this school last year and I have made so many priceless memories here that will be cherished for a long time to come. The food at this school is really my favorite especially stall 5's food. The people here are friendly however sometimes notorious which is normal for every school you see nowadays. I have to say I have made friends in this school I will never forget even when they are already in their Secondary School. Therefore I came to my conclusion I rate ChongFu School 5 stars."
